Annual Congregational Meeting and Report Deadline

 

The 2019 congregational meeting will be on January 12th, directly after church. We’ll talk about what happened at St. John’s in 2019 and vote on the 2020 budget. Plan on attending so you can hear what’s happening at church and have a voice in our future. Please join us after the meeting for a wonderful meal prepared by our youth. Proceeds will go to Feed My Starving Children.

Lent 2020

Lent, the 40 days leading to Easter Sunday, begins with Ash Wednesday on Feb. 26 at 7:00pm. This is

a somber, reflective service to get us ready for the Lenten season. As always, we’ll offer the imposition

of ashes at the beginning of worship. We use ashes to remind us when we die; like Jesus we too will be resurrected, and that Jesus cleanses us from our sins.

 

Confirmation Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 23, directly after worship. This is an annual event that helps the confirmation class raise money for Lutherdale Bible Camp.

VBS Fundraiser

 

Calling all volunteers! VBS will be doing a Fun Fair Fundraiser at Heartwarming Hebron on

Saturday, February 8th, 2020. Tentative times are 11am-3pm with set-up/clean-up being before

and after. We are looking for volunteers to help with set-up/clean-up and be in charge of an activity during the Fun Fair. This will be a fundraiser for VBS and all monies raised will benefit the VBS program. Please contact Laura Leedle if you would be able to volunteer...any amount of time is

appreciated! Thank you!
