Lent & Holy Week

Lent, the 40 days leading to Easter Sunday, starts on March 6 with Ash Wednesday. Here are some events to look forward to in the coming weeks.

Confirmation Pancake Breakfast: on Sunday, March 3, directly after worship. This is an

annual event that helps the confirmation class raise money for their retreat to Lutherdale Bible

Camp.

Ash Wednesday: on Wednesday, March 6, at 7:00pm. This is a somber, reflective service to get us ready for the Lenten season. As always, we’ll offer the imposition of ashes at the beginning of

worship. We use ashes to remind us that we will all die, and through Jesus’ resurrection, we will also be resurrected. Jesus cleanses us from our sins.

Lenten Bible Study**: beginning on Wednesday March 13th - May 8th from 5:15-6:30pm we will gather together for a Bible Study “Making Sense of the Christian Faith”.  Everyone is invited to

attend.

Lenten Worship**: following the Bible Study we will have our regular Mid-Week worship at 7 pm.

**There will be NO Bible Study or Mid-Week Worship during Holy Week on 4/17.

Maundy Thursday: Join us for Jesus' journey to the cross  on Thursday, April 18, at 7:00pm.

Good Friday:  Stations of the Cross Service pm Friday, April 19, at 7:00pm.

Easter Sunday: on April 21 join us for Easter breakfast is at 8:30 then we’ll celebrate Jesus’ resurrection at our 9:30 service.
