Text Box: Confirmation Class It's hard to believe summer is winding down and school will be starting again. Along with school starting, so are the Christian Education programs at St. John's.  Confirmation class will begin September 8th following the Rally Day Ice Cream Social.  Bring a sack lunch if you need to.   Parents are asked to attend for the first hour and the kids will stay for another hour as we begin our year studying Luther's Small Catechism.  The remainder of the year, our class will meet the first Sunday of the month.   Confirmation class is a two year program for everyone 7th grade and above.   This year we will attend a weekend retreat at Lutherdale November 22-24 rather than the Spring retreat. Everyone is expected to attend this event.  The pancake breakfast will be February 23, 2020, and this will help to defray the cost of the retreat.  I look forward to starting a new year and getting to know everyone better while helping everyone better understand the 10 commandments, baptism, the Apostle's creed and Holy Communion.  Please talk to me or Pastor Debbie if you have any questions about this program.  Karen Gritmacker Text Box: Sunday Times Hello campers, hope everyone has been enjoying your summer. It’s almost time for Sunday School again, so teachers, expect a call soon! We will kick off the year with Rally Day September 8th 2019. Our theme this year is “We build Sundaes but Sundays build us up!” There will be games, crafts, activities, and treats all following that theme. We will have things going on during class time for the kids, and more activities for the entire church following the service. We are planning Sundae Bingo, Sundae building, Pin the Cherry on the Sundae, and Bags (Corn hole) too! We want to keep this fun and easy for all. Come on out on the 8th and play along, See you there!
