Secret Santas 2013
Mrs. Howe's fourth grade class, "The Heroic Hebron Helpers," at the Alden-Hebron Elementary School took part in a service learning project this fall to provide gifts and food for families in need at the holidays. They partnered with the Hebron Food Pantry, local churches, and the entire community. In all they collected at least 600 gifts from area businesses, politicians, and individuals in the community for nearly 35 families. They sorted and wrapped all the gifts and then delivered them to St. John's Lutheran Church where the families picked them up later in the day. Fifth grade teacher Holly Latas and Media Specialist Colleen Giles coordinated the project.
